The first device developed entirely in-house and manufactured in Atlanta (USA) by Muzi Works. nRF52840 + SX1262 on a custom PCB with a dedicated I/O controller. Dual-GNSS (GPS/BDS), onboard RTC, buzzer. Aluminum housing with PETG carbon-fiber shell, O-ring seals, IP68-certified USB-C port. 1500 mAh LiPo, approx. 2-hour charging time. MeshCore community firmware v1.15.0 and later. 16% more compact than its predecessor, the R1.

This build is based on official MeshCore 1.15.0 dev branch (as of 25-May-2026 and additionally includes the following unmerged upstream PRs/changes:

Additional changes:
  • Flood adverts are disabled (flood.advert.interval set to 0) by default
  • :new: modified PR1810 to not block flood adverts but only PAYLOADTYPEGRPTXT and PAYLOADTYPEGRPDATA so that some limited flood advert distribution can be managed via PR2553 to support e.g. observer maps.
